BPS (bisphenol S) in food

A BPA replacement used in some plastics, can linings and receipt paper. FDA background

What's a lot?

No US agency publishes a daily limit for BPS (bisphenol S) that we can cite yet, so we show levels without a yardstick.

ppb means micrograms per kilogram of food: 100 ppb is 100 µg in 2.2 lb of food. A daily limit is about long-run averages; one high day is not the same as eating it every day.

Foods highest in BPS (bisphenol S)

FDA's Total Diet Study does not report BPS (bisphenol S).
